Gengigel Paste

Gengigel Paste

£5.50

Gengigel is a biological mouth and gum-care gel, and mouthrinse based on hyaluronic acid, providing active protection from gum disease and support for the natural healing of inflamed and damaged tissue in the mouth. After tooth decay, the second most frequent disorder within the mouth is inflammation of the gingiva gums and the periodontium the tissue that surrounds and supports the teeth. Gum disease is often not diagnosed early enough because, in contrast to tooth decay, tooth ache and pain do not occur so early. Experts estimate that 95% of adults in the UK suffer from some form of gum disease, but only 10% have serious problems.

Gengigel Mouthwash

Gengigel Mouthwash

£7.99

Gengigel contains hyaluronan - a natural substance found in the connective tissues of the body. When applied to diseased gum tissue it controls inflammation and stimulates the production of new health tissue. Several clinical studies have shown that gengigel can accelerate the rate of tissue healing and reduce inflammation. Regular use of gengigel either as a gel or with mouthrinse combined with regular and thorough cleaning of teeth will ensure the maintenance of healthy gums especially in smokers, diabetics, pregnant women, and women taking oral contraceptives who have an above average incidence of gum tissue problems. Gengigel has no side effects and is safe to use in pregnancy, with diabetes and is suitable for young children. After brushing the teeth use Gengigel mouthrinse 3-4 times daily for 3-4 weeks. Rinse with 10ml one dose for 1-2 minutes. Do not dilute

Eludril Spray 55ml

Eludril Spray 55ml

£4.99

How does it work? This spray contains two active ingredients, tetracaine hydrochloride previously known as amethocaine hydrochloride in the UK and chlorhexidine digluconate. Chlorhexidine digluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant agent, which is active against various bacteria, viruses, bacterial spores and fungi. It kills the micro-organisms associated with mouth and throat infections. Tetracaine hydrochloride belongs to a group of medicines known as local anaesthetics. It works by temporarily blocking the pathway of pain signals along nerves. Pain is caused by the stimulation of pain receptors at the ends of nerves. The stimulation causes sodium to enter the nerve ending, which causes an electrical signal to build up in the nerve. When this electrical signal is big enough, it passes along the nerve to the brain, where the signal is interpreted as pain. Tetracaine works by stopping the sodium entering the nerve ending at the site of the pain. This prevents an electrical signal building up and passing along the nerve fibres to the brain. In this way tetracaine causes numbness and relieves pain at the area it is applied to. The combination of these medicines is used to treat infections and inflammation of the mouth and throat and the pain and discomfort associated with these conditions. What is it used for? Inflammation of the gums or lining of the mouth Mouth ulcers Relief from the symptoms of mouth and throat infections, eg sore throat Relief of pain and discomfort in more serious throat infections, such as tonsillitis and pharyngitis
